I have a 95 Johnson GT-300, V8. I am curious to now if their are any Hi -perf parts available for this motor. Will the Lightning gearcase fit? What about a shorter midsection? I think I have the 25" version and its a big much for a 22' boat. Any other ideas? Motor work? Carbs? Where might I get them rebuilt? any other tips & tricks?

Thanks!

You should post another picture of the boat, looks like an excessive amount of setback,You could find a 20in mid and a V6 gearcase and loose half of your setback. What carbs are on it and rpm & prop are you running.
