My 200 XRI has lost about 1000 rpm, and I have eliminated pretty much all of the electronics. My fuel pump holds a steady 37 pounds at any throttle setting, so this evening I pulled my plenum and I want to have my injectors cleaned and checked. Where is the quickest place to have this done? I live in the Dallas area.

Tony Brucatto . He has a tag on the site you are using. Tony does a great job and will clean and flow them.
Kinsler FI also does an excellent job and may be slightly slower turn around.
If you lost 1000 rpm , I doubt its the injectors though. Usually we have found them to go soft on the bottom end , not the top. Have you checked compression on all 6? Have you changed plugs? A fouled plug could do it. Have you made sure you have no water leaks? Water in the exhaust chamber will do it as well. Have you checked the gearcase lube lately? Lots of other things to check.
If you do decide to have injectors done, the 2 place above will not disappoint.

Actually, I have seen similar symptoms with clogged injectors.

However, 1000 rpm on a fishing engine usually means that you have lost 1 cylinder. Have you made a plug chop to see which cylinder it is?

If you have one cylinder that is running really wet compared to the others, it is likely a spark related problem. If one cylinder is running really dry compared to the others, it is likely a bad injector.

When you know which cylinder is the problem, you can start swapping things around.

I have eliminated the ignition to the best of my ability, including ohming the stator and actually checking each plug as the engine ran. The engine runs fine at lower rpms, and even starts and idles well. As I press the throttle forward and the engine reaches about 5000 rpm, the sound of the engine changes and more throttle just makes the engine run like its lean. Sometimes it even surges heavily. I have not done a throttle chop to check the plugs because I don't want to pull the plugs on the water. I may be wrong about the injectors, but at this point, they are already out of the engine, so I might as well have them cleaned and flowed.

Hey Steve (the Freakin' Guru), I've run the chopper on my bass boat and I think it will be great for open water, but because of the engine problem, I haven't made any top speed runs yet. But, it lifts the boat higher than anything else that I've run to date, and only takes 3700-3800 rpm to get on plane. And the holeshot is great!

It sounds reasonable. And if money is not a problem, just ship them off to one of the guys Steve mentioned.

If you need new injectors, Eagle One and Tony Brucato have good prices. An alternative is to buy rebuilt injectors, but you will not save a whole lot of money that way - I have had good experience with Five'O Motorsports (see my links page, below, for their web site)

Glad you like the prop. Let me know if you need any other help. You might try the plug wires as well. Pull them off and replace them just to see if there is a change. At higher rpm they can arc if they go bad. Usually an injector on an outboard stays pretty clean compared to automotive use and they go bad by either the springs inside wearing out and thus killing the low end and mid or they will completely burn out leaning the motor and blowing it. I have also had one leaking . Very easy to find a leak, the fuel pressure will drop rapidly ( on a Laser not a horn EFI) when the pump is shut off. Be sure all the connectors are on tight. Also a switch box can act up like you are describing. A good cleaning and checking never hurt them.
