First things first: When the weather warms back up...
Don't use a picture of your boat tied up with a mooring buoy in the water. This gives the impression that it is always stored in the water. To a knowledgable boat shopper, there may be a false assumption that the core is probably saturated, even if it truly is not. Spray the Works on your motor leg and trim assembly, wipe with a rag and rinse. This will nix the white scum. Now you can polish/wax the leg and such if you want. Clean the sides of the hull with the Works, rinse, and rub out any remaining calcium build-up or oxidation with fine rubbing compound. If white streaks still appear from bubbled claer/gelcoat, rub some transmission fluid on it and buff, this will darken those areas for a while. :D Wax the rest of it real good in the shade, and take a picture of it from above and to the rear and side with it on the trailer on a sunny day, showing the shape, motor, and interior in one shot. Take another sunny day picture without the mooring buoy and stained sides. You've got to make it look good! Also, some WOT running shots with a little excess trim usually makes it look super fast in photos.
I sold my Baja a couple years ago on www.boattraderonline.com
I cheated though. I used the free listing section, and put a link in the listing to a site where I had some photos. Better to just pay to get photos in your listing. Be realistic about asking price. It's hard to get any decent money for an older Baja these days, sometimes you just have to let it go and call it a lesson, that's what happened to me back then...

Boattraderonline.com-
I sold two different Baja's on there within three weeks of posting them. Both buyers were WAY out of my area, (like 600-700 miles away).

BoatTrader mags are hard to beat for their value. Look at their run till it sells prices. And ads run in their website.

Boat speed is not important... People buy and sell all types of boats and engines here. The key thing is to be honest in your listing. Many more people will be attracted to a buyer that is sincere.

Nobody said not to post it here.
I posted the last boat I had for sale here, but boattraderonline is what sold the boat.
It's best to post it everywhere if you want to sell it!
Spread the word, don't be shy. It's hard telling who may be in the market for your particular boat.

it's realy hard to say where is the best place to sell it ,i have sold boats that i left out front of the marina and have sold stuff in the trader bottom line is the right person has to see it .dont get to worked up about selling it at this time of year the only people buying now are going to beat you down on your price .wait for a month or two and it will sell and you will get more money for it .buff the boat and make sure it is super clean and it will sell come spring.

Q. Where should I put my boat up for sale.
A. Everywhere! Run ads in the local rag, big city paper, Scream & Fly, Boattrader.com,put a "For Sale" sign on it with fone number and drive up and down the streets, tow it when you go shopping and park in the big parking lots. The more people who see it and/or know about it, the greater your chances of selling it.
