2.5 cut head question

What is the max you can cut the heads on a 2.5 mercury?

Not enough info. You can cut them untill there is no combustion chamber left if you want to. What do you want to do? Do you mean what's the max you can cut them when using a certain grade of fuel? Need more info.

The most I have ever cut from a customer's head rendered a CC of 19 and yielded 260 lbs compression. It is according to the exhaust port height as to the end results of the cuts, the higher the ports are raised the least the cuts effect the end compression numbers as the window of oppurtunity to contain and build compression is less time in duration! Normally 21CC's is the maximum even on BIG compression Drag Race Motors and will yiels approx. 215-220 LBS compression.....
The most we suggest on pump gas on 2.5's is 34 CC's with a #44 Mercury Head Gasket and it will yield 145 ish compression and can safley be run on super unleaded pump gas !
