ok just give a call when ya get there
Why no Supersport roundy rounds. They always run around 10:00 am before anything else gets going? I can understand not all of the OPC's but why not SS, that lake is the birth place of the class?

The first page shows the dates as the 16th & 17th... I assume it should read the 17th & 18th?
Inboard drags this year too?? That will be cool!

Did Dorsey bring Pete Propsom in on this deal? Pete was tight with the rope racers.

NO TIMERS OR ROPE START there will be a hold rope in the staging area in order to try and bring better organization to the event. (hopefully speed things up)
I have it on good authority there will be lights (a tree) this year as well.

For on shore watching, which is the Best day?
Is Saturday always better, with more crowds than Sunday?
Thanks, Geo

Either day is great. There is a viewing area almost the entire lenght of the course :D But in my opinion Saturday is better, there is more going on, the dealers and vendors tend to start breaking down their stuff early on Sunday......

What all are you talking needs to added for "rope racin'"? Jay
JonesRacing#157
02-20-2004, 08:54 PM
Jay there talking about a hold rope. to hang on and wait for your number. you will need to rigg somthing to keep the rope from catching your motor when you pull out from under it

i would come and run, but most of the classes that i fit into say "no aftermarket tuner" blah blah blah. MINE BROKE, what do i do? buy a stock one from the dealer for $250 or get one from bobs for $99. damn! for a little dildo like a tuner that doesnt make any difference, they sure do put alot of emphasis on it!
JonesRacing#157
02-20-2004, 10:54 PM
I am sure there will be a class for your boat. I think there is going to be a Formula class
1BadAction
02-20-2004, 11:01 PM
yea, i know how it'll go. put me in the pro stock class cause the motor is a stock 150 2.5 with STOCK xri injection, but i got a tuner. so its modified? wtf? i know you guys dont make the rules, but that puts guys like me off from racing. seriously, with no computer mods is this xri gonna make power over 6100 when the egt's go from 1100 to 900? nope. i am lucky if it makes 150 to start with. its 10 years old!
i should go into the unlimited and run a 500 shot fogger setup  but i dont want to have to wear a armor suit to protect me from the schrapnel.

Jay,
what Pat says is correct, your allison has the deflector no? if not just a piece of flat aluminum and a MINIMAL amount of tape and bent to the right angle and it should work fine, if not I dont think the rope thing will be an issue, Im working on a way that it shouldnt interfere (I hope), we'll see. Either way I'm not sure it will be mandatory to use the rope.....
Stream,
go to the racers hangout forum and check out the post for Eustis Drags, at the end I posted the rules for the "vintage class" I dont think it says squat about tuners, It was designed with the local non professional racer in mind. Even if it does, the rules are relatively fluid and if everyone in that class agrees then there is no problem.....

Uh ohhh.....could this be the start of the tree we will use at the races? I think so:cool:
