235 ignition

can i use the newer style ignition on my 235 it has the 78 style on it now .when i was running 75hp we would use the ignitions off the 86 vro style motors on the 70's motors because they were more reliable .

you want a complete 235 with all new electronics real cheap

in theory you can if you change the whole system.but I've never tried it. been thinking about it though. but i like the 2 pack system for the redundency. it's posibly for the pack to go and leave you with no spark. with two packs, you still have three cyclinders. very unlikly both packs would go at the same time.
