omc questions

ok i am new to v6 omc's i have had v4's and lots of mercs just no big omc's what i want to know is
#1 i just bought aircraftmans sleek and it has a 235 on it what i want to know is how can i find out what year the powerhead is and what size it is how many liters?i read that there is a big bore and a small bore.

#2he said it has the big carbs again what am i looking for they have primers on them.

just trying to figure out exactly what i have .

plus anything else that i should check or would be a good idea to get for it please let me know as well.

look on the clamp bracket, if the plate is still there it will tell you a model number 235849TLCT, or something like that. the last two letters are a code, which goes as follows:

INTRODUCES
1234567890

the powerhead has been changed so that wont realy tell me .

rick's right on that, forgot about that one. but if the motor has been gone through that may not be right either. my power head was supposedly replaced in 96 (i didn't own the boat) and it say's 150 on it. abd as far as i know omce only mad a 60 deg looper in 150 no 90 degree loopers in 150.
