is it worth switching to a 1 piece plate for a carb 2.5 turning up to 7500rpm?
How much difference would i see?

I like the one-piece plate because I can control the water pressure and flow to just where I want it. The HP gains are minimal.

what do you want pertaining to water pressure/temperature?
do you try to run at the same temperature all the time?
please explain your reasoning - thanks

The stock one just has one large unadjustable dump, which often results in low pressure and too much flow at WOT. The one-piece plate has small dump holes that are easily adapted to obtain the right pressure and flow. Minimum 15 lbs. at WOT, able to keep the block full at idle, water temp. of 110 at WOT, no more than 25 lbs. max. After removing popet and thermostats the stock plate does not work nearly as well as the one piece. Not to mention the extra needed strength of the one-piece plate for a high-speed boat.

Either drystack or plug existing holes and drill new ones.
