I just saw where an electric r/c boat beat all of the nitro records something like 129mph, unreal for an electric boat, I have seen Andy Browns stuff run and it is fast.

Great to see there are some fellow racers out there! I have been racing RC Hydros and Mono's for 22 years! Here in Florida we have one of the most active race seasons around. I just raced the Annual Orlando Winternats and had the best race of my life with two 1st. place wins in X-hydro (Twin Engine Roadrunner Outrigger Hydro with Mac 84 motors) ,and in B-Hydro(Eagle SG 45 with Mac 45 power. Racing was intense with four rounds of competition over three days , over 300 boats in competition , beautiful weather and great people. Anyone seeking info on getting into racing just give me a call (727) 868-1263 or go to namba.com. Throttle Up !, Tom Foley , STV EURO-260 MERC.

Was yours the Circus Circus? I watched that one run, it was pretty awesome. I went to the WinterNats to eyeball some hardware, meet a few guys, and see some boats. I've also watched the video of your rigger, and it was equally as awesome. I have a Dumas 55" Scarab 380 with a slightly modded Homie. It's been a fun toy. I picked up a cheap used and abused Sprintcat at the Nats too. That will be the next project. Can you post up some pics of your stuff?

Rick , glad to see you are an enthusiast ! I dont race scale but there were some awesome boats at the 2005 Winternats , 395 boats !!!!! I ended up with first in x Mono (90) Seaducer and First in b Hydro, Mac 45 power . My twin 84 boat started off bad when a guy moved over 5 lanes in front of me at about 70 mph. I wasted his brand new Eagle 90 Rigger as I ran right over him with nowhere to go , i also suffered major damage and had to put new sponsons on and new boom tubes ! Full thrash but we made the next round. The gas classes are a blast, My Insane Hydro got 5 th overall out of 30 some boats ! . I had a blast even with the terrible weather . The Orlando Culvert Dodger s Did a great job under demanding conditions . Let's stay in touch . Are you going to the Suwannee ? Tom .
