This is obvous but easily forgotten. The lcd panels can be destroyed by low temps so if you live in a low temp area and have them its a good idea to remove them during the winter. I E-mailed garmin this morning and got an answer.
Maybe some can take it but if you don't know for sure its not worth the loss of the segments. Other wise you don't know what u is supposed to be. A zero or 8? SLE is how fast?

the GPS from the boat during winter storage. If you have any other questions

I have the GPS, EIS, fuel and depth finder to remove every stinkin winter!
