Chevy four wheel drive half shafts

I've got a 1993 chevy four wheel drive that needs front cv assemblies. Anyone ever pulled one of these apart? What's needed and how tough is it to do. Any special tools required? I'm going to attempt this on my own over the Winter, so any help, guidance, instructions would be appreciated.
