http://www.ReserveAmerica.com/usa/ny/nort/ - NYS campsight; nice lakeside sights
- sights 204 to 213 recommended......214 - 216 are very good but inpossible to turn a trailer around in but with a waterfront sight you could just leave her in. I'm at 207.

I don't book sites for people but here is all the info you'll need. The campsites have its own launch and the Flipp Inn and the Inn at the Bridge have a very nice free State Launch right down the road.

After getting heat the last three years I will have t-Shirts this year but need a simple design. They will be no more than $10. I need a simple logo perhaps something for the front..a little one and something on the back. Rondak Reservoir Romp '04 is all I ask for. Winner gets free shirt. Red White and Blue ok or are their gonna be some commies there???

Due to excessive whining about noise from the rangers last year this year we will have a Bon Fire at Miller's Grandview Marina on Friday night. Travel arrangements will be determined by everyone on Friday. If we don't take boats there will be Vans and non Drinkers provided. Saturday night will be the Sport Island Pub again which will be a little more banquet and social like unless some demand the usual sit down dinner. Maybe some awards and a raffle or something like that too.

http://www.flipenterprises.com/ - this is the Inn closest (walking distance) to the Saturday evening rendezvous at Sport Island Pub 518-725-7277 214 Co. Hwy.152, Northville, NY 12134

http://www.innatthebridge.com/ - this is also close to the Pub; docking available (518) 863-2240
641 Bridge Street PO Box 450 Northville, NY 12134

http://www.superior.net/~lanzi/ - nice upscale restaurant with a big deck; casual

http://www.eagleshore.com/ - just some photos

http://www.ReserveAmerica.com/usa/ny/nort/ - NYS campsight; nice lakeside sights

I don't want to have to kick anyone's ass andyplace other than on the water. Following the rules and setting the reputation as a good group allows us to do what we want on the water. Anyone who deviates from this standard will wake up with an OMC on the back of their rig:D

I thought Helmet was getting site #9 so I took the site on the other side of the road and on the beach. If I got the wrong site let me know and I'll change it I just want to be where I can keep my boat in the water. No problem on the ride.

Liqui-Fly
01-12-2004, 12:01 PM
Helmut probably got 209. We stay in the 200 to 215 stretch. If you ewant to leave your boat insites 214 215 and 216 are really nice but hard to turn around in. The strip from 204 on up to about 211 will be completely occupies by us so even if you site isn't water side someone that does will provide a parking spot for you.

Who would boat to the marina on Friday night if the weather is "decent" by Romp standards? Who would rahter travel by highway? It should be about a 10 to 15 minute drive from where everyone is staying. 5 minutes by boat or 20 minutes for LGT-FST. I'm thinking around 7 pm. Shall we do food (pizzas?) or eat before?

Dave we can pile into my boat- but you will have to drive. You know my condition;)

Or we can get BigNick to pick us up in the pontoon boat:eek:

Can we get a BBQ there?

Liqui-Fly
01-21-2004, 09:17 AM
I think we could arrange to already have a BBQ there. I think we'll probably have to leave the travel arrangements until that day. We'll draw straws to see who drives back:)

So you think a nice little BBQ would work? We could re-cook whatever is left over from lunch.

I can bring grills, food, racing gas (104 unleaded, 110 leaded), And if ya want, I'll throw the shrimp on the barby. (not the night of the marina).......

I'm cumin up on the 16th to set-up........

Will the park Rangers get upset if its dark when we get back with the boats? What time was it when the Rangers came out and told us (SAM) that we where to loud.

On the shirts you could put;
Where speed limits don't mean NUFIN'
Their ain't no wake at 100mph

I remember seeing a Big Johnson Tee shirt with a powerboat driving through a swimming area. Said something like; Shell suck more than gas when you have Big Johnson

I've never been to a gathering. I can finally go to one now that I have something that will tow my boat fine. So what goes on, does everyone just hang out on the lake? What does a site cost? Any info would be great about the romp cause I am really interested in going maybe.

81hydrostream
02-02-2004, 09:39 PM
sutphen15 last year was my first romp. I had a lot of fun everyone just hangs out out on the water. Last year we all went out to dinner on saturday and then theres the dam run on sunday wich i missed due to some motor prolems. Everyone there is great. A site cost something like 75 bucks. I diffently would recomend going.

02-03-2004, 07:08 PM
Yea , we need more poganization :)

Sutphen115
02-03-2004, 07:40 PM
so its $75 for the site for 5 nights plus a lot more cash for gas and oil. How many people show up usually. Also are there any sites still available on the water?

Tom D.
02-03-2004, 10:18 PM
You don't have to have a site on the water. Those that do will more than likely let you park your boat by there site. Or some people take there boat out every day. There is a launch ramp right at the camp grounds.

Be careful with gimmicks like that and free software. Alot of that stuff contains adware or spyware that installs itself on your computer without permission. These programs monitor your internet usage, report back to a server for the purpose of advertisers gathering info. Some install popups on your computer, some default you to a home page etc. They will slow your system down and they are a pain in the ass. Ever hear of the game Yo Mama Osama, that has spread through email. That is a classic adware spreader.

Remember, nothing is REALLY free, except S&F :-)

You're ok there. A really nice site....just difficult to turn a boat around in but the real estate is sweet. You'll be fine there.
