When decking your block is it nessasary to rebore your crankshaft bore and the rebates for the crankshaft seals

Nothing is required in the crank area when decking a block BUT bear in mind the piston to head clearance needs to be checked or a piston could hit the head at upper RPM. If so the head surface must be cut to form a pocket for clearance. I have seen pistons decked but don't recommend it.
