Stock Chopper Verses Cut Chopper Differences??
What kind of performance differences can I expect from each.
I have run a stock 28p Chopper before.
Thanks, Dana

in my experience which is not very vast on props, the stock 26 prop slipped more in the hole shot so i put more cup at the tip and into the leading edge of the tip and cut the weed cutters off and squared up that area to look more like the cut prop i have which is a hoss triton 30 which bites better, and now the 26 does also, i may be wrong but the squared part of each blade on the leading edge at the base of the hub by the thrust washer grabs the water better than the smooth sweep of the stock one, at least i found this to be some thing to stop my stock one from slipping as much.

hope this helped a little,

But if you look at this Photo, You will see the ET has the straighter edge of the blade on the top. Kind of like a Cleaver.

The cut chopper was designed for the Allison. Call Bill Eves at Performance propellor at Soddy-Daisy TN. He makes them and will custom tune them to each boat.

Rule1,

The Allison Cut Chopper will out accerlate the Stock chopper. It will not feel as stable as the stock chopper. Top end is pretty close. I have a 26 and 28 Allison Cut chopper from Performance Prop. Both Tim and Billy have been VERY good about making small adjustments. I Saw a Post on the Allison board where you run a 26 trophy. The 26 Allison will come out of the hole MUCH harder. I like the Allison cut Better than the ET for Acceleration. If you would like more info leave me an email Address.

Tim or Billy at Performance Prop can fix you up.

You might want to call Kevin at R&R Propshop too, everything I have seen by him is fantastic.
