will a 150 omc ficht lower uniy fit a 2000 225. also will it have the same size drive shaft an gear ratio Please help W.P.

The Driveshaft on the 150 is about 3/4 in or so shorter- may engage splines but not fullyon the 225. The gear ratio is the same, you can change the upper driveshaft and shift shaft and use the lower unit, but not in it's stock form;)

I believe I will try to get the unit then like you said I will change the upper shaft REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP BULLET 225.
