Stoker 2001,
I use a: MRC 5208-C/H501 bearing to replace the Mercury piece and have never had one fail yet !
They have no dust shields.......
Good luck ,

If I'm not mistaken I paid closer to $48.00 ish BUT I bought a half dozen of them and the guy may have given me a quanity price break !I'm almost sure that number is correct I had 2 of them in boxes at the shop and one had the box top torn off like I gave it to someone as refference and the other one was alittle smeared but I'm pretty sure that was the correct number ! I use them all the time in Drag Motors and it is as good if not better than the Mercury by one roller the bearing salesman told me !
Who knows all I can say is that they have been ok for me and I will continue to use them !
Good luck !
Happy Holidays..........

once i popped the dust sheilds off, this one looks identical to the merc one (double row of thirteen balls).it did say in directions that is a load directional, meaning if you dont pay attention you have 50-50 chance of installing it correctly:D you sure the one you have has an extra roller ball?i will try to do some more research and see if the one you use is higher load rated

I wouldn't be as concerned with the load rating, as I would the RPM rating.
