The mains. Some have shoulders and some don't. My understanding is if you use the same mains on the same crank you're okay. You may do a search. There was a big discussion with pictures somewhere on this site.

superdave is correct if you keep the center mains with the crank you will be fine. The differance in design will be obvious when you look at the center main bearings.

thanks a lot that helps maybe i'll just buy a crank we'll see boating season does not start for a bit longer
