Can someone tell me where I can find some low profile seat mounts? I am going to be raising the floor slightly in my Avenger to allow for deeper stringers and will have to virtually mount my seats flat on the floor to avoid looking like I am driving a surfboard. Can they be mounted flat on the floor? I would like a slider, but if it is going to make my seat too high, I could do without. Any suggestions?

I used 1.5" X 1.5" aluminum tubing. Had the guy at the metal shop cut them for me. They are 45* cuts on the ends and I deburred them well so no one would get cut. Planning on cutting some lighten holes (just to look cool) in them and power coat. Fairly cheap and light too.

I like that setup. Where can I get seats like those? I want something that will be very light like that and very simple also. How are they installed? Did you screw the tubing to the deck, then, screw the seats onto the tubing? How tall are they overall off the deck?

My seats are screwed right to the floor, when I got the boat they were on 2 x 4's truned up the tall way......way to tall!
Forkin' I like the fan in front of the boat............so you can sit in the garage with the wind in your face and dream...............

I'll measure the seats and brackets today and post some numbers tonight.
The brackets, or seat rails, bolt on with three bolts each. One in each end and one in the center. The 45* cut provides plenty of clearance for tools. I drilled a hole that would accomodate a socket in the upper part of the rail and that gave access to the center bolt. The seat itself is attached to the rails with four bolts. You have to have a extra long wrench to hold the nuts. I thought of having the machine shop cut slots in the rails and use .5" X1" stock that would be threaded for back up, kinda like some of the jack plates. That way all you had to do is loosen 4 bolts and adjust the seat. I think it would be very secure also.
I make the shells myself and contract out the covers. I have a narrow and wide versions, both under 8 # each.
WW, that fan was not only to keep cool, but to keep the damn mosquitoes blown off of me. That is one of six fans in my shop...

That pic in my last post, the wide seat is the one in the rear.
Here is one of the front of the narrow seat. Wide seat is 2" wider.

How much? If you could shoot me the dimensions of the wide one when you get a chance, I'd appreciate it. I will definately be in touch once I get the floor back in my boat! Was that you post earlier rippin' around yesterday while we were all sitting at work slaving away for " the man"? Sweet boat. :D :D
