Yea baby, Grand turismo meets screem and fly, the outboard racing game, be able to run the lakes and rivers, grudge matches and events with the racing bodys, be able to set up all parts of the boat. Win money, buy faster parts. You would even be able to build an OMC.

i say we have venice be the location of the game, considering the streets are canals there......Italian job ring a bell?

Ok if this is to be done from what I understand in all seriousness we need to help out with making this as well as financially. Whos with me here?
you see up north here in the sticks when our boats are tucked away for the winter and theres icebergs floating by we need something else to do other then drink and possibly wind up with more kids

They got it for everything else...

I would be on it if it was any good. I played a fishing game that had one you drove, but was just simple. Didn't they have PWC games for consoles?

Yeah thy are pretty good but need more realism.

Like 175 says, grand tourismo meets S&F, race, win money to buy parts. I don't know if its possible but if you could reprogram an existing game maybe an F1 car game. Change the cars to boats and the track to water alter the controls, just guessing here!!!

Could it be done?

i had a good idea last night, if a game like this were to come out, players should start off in the smallest race class, than move their way up. There should also be a 'lake boat' section where u can drive around in boats thats you see on this site, every race you win you earn another boat. Im sure this would be very very complicated and a very hard to get everything going....

!!! this game should be available for XboX and should beable to be compatible with Xbox live, we can talk, race boats in our game and shoot **** at eachother

This game needs to have different hulls that drive differently, just like the games where you pick your car. This game needs to have several vee hulls among others that chinewalk without proper steering and trim input. Too much trim and it blows over. Too hard into the turn and it hooks.

I agree with Pete. There needs to be jet skis that you can destroy with heat seeking missles.

This could be really neat!!
:D :D :D

The game woud start off. You have 5k and no boat, have to hit the boat trader, may have to put a transom in the new ride. may have to rebuild the motor. Used boat may or may not have any HP parts on it and you would have to buy them.
each boat would have to drive different. Grand turismo has 400+ cars and none of them drive the same.
There would have to be V bottoms and padded bottoms, tunnnels and othere gofast boats. Throw in a tri-mate for kicks.

Xbox is fine but also for PS2.

Lots of Lakeboats for sure. I would love to take out a STV or Alli for a spin!

Would be cool, but will it ever be done? I don't think so. It's not fair or maybe not even possible for Greg to do it, my friend does simple programing and it takes an extrodinary amount of time just to make games of the nintendo quality. Maybe if enough interest is shown, a well known company would develop the game. Maybe we should pick one developer and just keep hounding them until they give in:D

I spoke to Greg about it. In reality its not possible but who know. I harrass him about it every day. O Greg its the H word. LOL

I just got Battlefield 1942, and was driving the troop carriers into shore:D Pretty simple but fun. I get killed a lot, is that how this game is?

I am sure they could make it on top of a current game, so it would not be that hard for a game developer. Could go from a 14' to a 40' offshore:D   Oh yeah!

Making on top of a current game is called copyright infringement.

I'm not hoping Greg can do it, I'm hoping there is a S'n'F'er not running a website who is a keyboard jockey and can make it for us!

That is not what I mean; most games are made on the same game engine. This Battlefield 1942 is the same engine in James Bond I think, likely other EA Games first person shooters. You hear some of the same sounds at certain points, the controls are the same; I could probably find out on the net what ones are . Then all they have to do is new maps that are the environment you see, new characters/vehicles/etc. to make a new game on the same program, or engine. All they would have to do is change the look, and adjust the physics engine for each model of boat correctly, etc. Not that it will be easy to do that...:) but that is what they do anyway right? The problem would be getting the sound right.

That would be bad ass. Have the great performance boat manufacturers to where you can choose what to buy and then win different hard to get boats and build your own with perfomance products galore. Lets not forget the factors of trim and motor height on specific boats. Damn what a game.

There was an old-school genesis game that I had as a kid. It was called "Bimini's Run".

It was kind of repetitive, but it was fun to have my own 30' offshore boat for a while. Check out the screen shots...

Hydro Thunder??? It's made by Midway for sega dreamcast and PC (maybe some others too?). Theres several styles of boats to race from tunnels to offshore v's and many in between. The physics of the game (beside the hydro jump) are pretty close to real. That game has pulled me through the last two winters... that and lots of beer! :D It's definetly worth checking out!

Yeah, I've played it but I think people here are looking for a realistic simulator. It is a pretty cool game but I dont like boat games with jumps!

Heres a pic of the boats I made for a simple game me and my friend are working on. Who knows if it will get done:D Its all gonna have to be birds eye view, but should be cool because there will be a chat feature. Ya can talk trash after you beat each other! Hopefully we actually finish this one LMAO
