I think that has to be considered outboard porn.

3 blind men describing my Cowl.

I do have it just about done but not sure if I like the outcome. The rear louvers are out of scale so thinking of redoing it. Found out that the blue foam at the hardware store is easily shaped so probably wll use some of the design in the new one but do a few things differently.http://members.lycos.co.uk/technostv/hpbimg/cowllouv1.jpg

I now want the front louvers to operate. Closed at below 60 mph for quietness and open above this. Might move them to the side bulge areas to get them into the pressure air stream, where they are now sits behind the boats cowling. Shadowed air. A ram air that is channeled directly to the air horn. Wanting and doing are 2 different things though.

The rear louvers have to be in scale and that means many smaller ones like originally intended. When I molded those huge ones lost touch of where they were going and making 3 was easier than many.
The front hood over the louvers don't go with the louver shape either. pointy and rounded.

Also might put a stalkish thing on top for the anchor light tear drop. mount it higher and incorporated with the style more. Might not be a tear drop shape.http://members.lycos.co.uk/technostv/hpbimg/lightw.JPG
Which If an organic looking thing would go better with the overall style.

The front and back need much sanding and the front louver sanding in between isn't an easy place to sand.
The front part with the rigging hoses that stays in place came out heavier than wished, don't matter but after doing this one I think a better one can be done alot easier than doing the first. At least I know what to do this time around.

Probably laminated out of carbon and possibly with scales formed right into it, or a shelly like thing. This was going to be painted like the scaled hatch area and now think a further modeling of this monster affect is needed for the cowl to pull the whole design together.

So back to the scribble board, at least I now have a 3 dimensional shape to go from. Might even come out a bit smaller since this thing looks like it needs to go on a diet.
Whichever- needs to be done by spring since that is my rigging dead line. I really would like to use my boat rather than work on it.
