any one familiar with the GM V-6 block. 3.2 i think it is. (then one that pops the intake manifold gasket after 60,000 miles.) i got one leaking at the injector fuel rail. im thinking there should be an O-ring there. i tried it, and it cuts the O-ring. any thoughts? i know this is of topic, but i would rather ask my boys here first then go popping around on other sites i don't know!

There should be some sort of seal between the injector and the rail. The last injection I worked on was a BMW motorcycle. the Orings were really super soft rubbery deals that would cut when you tried to install the rail. Put a touch of vaseline on each one and in the rail and it slid right togeather no problems. Make sure you are useing OEM seals. Some of the aftermarket stuff is just a touch different and that may be a problem.....Good luck

i wasn't clear, one of the supply lines to the rail is leaking (spraying). i didn't see an O-ring when i took it off. but the amount off fuel leaking tells me i missed something. it looks like there should be an O-ring. but im not positive.

There should definately be a captured O ring in the line fitting. They are normally a brown color and are small diameter in cross section. Trying to put in a larger sectional o ring will always rip.

well, maybe it's a smaller O-ring than the one i tried.

yes there is a small brown o ring and you must use a oem o ring on it plus use a bit of silicon lube on the o ring DONT USE OIL OR GREASE the o ring will swell and leak.
one more thing you dont have to undo the lines just take the clamp off the block they will pull out of the way beacuse they always leak .
