I am installing a bobs nosecone and was wondering on the torquemaster lower unit there is a round dimple in the casting on the side of case in-line with the water chamber for the water pump. Is this where mercury wants us to drill our holes for the water tube? IT looks like it was put there for just that reason. Also do you guy's fill your water chamber with epoxy up to the hose inlet coming from the nosecone so it is easier to drain in the winter? that seams the best thing to do so no water will remain inside or at least you would just need to remove the hose and not the whole lower unit. Any thoughts?

Yep thats what that cast boss is for,but there idea was to hook up the hose coming from a transom mounted water pickup.

Makes good sense to me. What do you know about filling the water cavity with apoxy?

Filling that up with epoxy sounds kinda chancie to me.If the epoxy pulled anywhere its gonna let water in that may just not come out.If it were mine I would head out there with some tools and let the poor thing sleep in the house over winter.
