Hear is mine before it was restored, this boat ran just a hair over 100 mph, with merc mcm1 gearcases addapted to the OMC's.

That stuff is priceless. Do you have full catalogs? Any chance I could borrow them to scan them for our Multimedia section? Also, the upcoming Scream And Fly Racing website will have a racing history gallery, and that boat is very important to racing history!
By the way, I love the red color scheme on yours!

Naa those were the shifting gearcases, I never owned the MCM's, Ron Chiovetti still has them.
Ran low mid 90's like that, though.

I have a bunch of mint catalogues from Charger Boats circa mid 80's.
I believe they built the Challenger as well as a number of Roark's designs, under license.
I dont have any of the offshore stuff, just small go fast boats.
Here's one.

Mac Gregors are friends of the familys, apparently Duncan is either gonna sell it or have it resestored. It is a good boat, but it does have a 460 Ford and a King Cobra drive EEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Rob,what year cobra drive? dog clutch or cone clutch type? The 460 is a good mill. I beat the snot out of one in my indy for 250 hrs and never missed a beat, just shredded drives weekly.

It is the King Cobra, and it is old, I really cannot say when the motor was installed. He has had no problems, but the motor is way to heavy for the boat.
