88 Merc 2.4 200.
All my experience has been with 3 and 4 cylinder mercs. Now I'm looking at a recently rebuilt 2.4.
Carbs , Ignition ,Charging system, let me hear it all, good, bad or ugly. Can you still get a new 2.4 powerhead from merc, or will a late model 2.5 power head drop on?
My first thought was to purchase the boat only and get new power. I don't need a race motor , just something that starts, gets me some seat time, then gets me back to the dock.
