80 200hp merc horiz or vert reeds?

Can anyone remember what reed style is in a 1980 200hp Merc 200?. I can't remember if the 81-82 technology was in the 1980 model or not.

I know in 82 the 81 225 became the 200 due to the prop shaft rating. But I can't remember if the 1980 is the ancient stuff and old bolt on style.

Please advise if you can.

1980-200hp had vertical reeds+choke butterfly removed when fuel enrichment valve replaced the butterfly system+ was said to be a bit better on top end as a result of cleaner airflow in unobstructed carb???? 225-80+81 were 14 petal horizontal reeds-82-200hp was 225 with 200hp decals. Might be slight port ht. diff between 80-200+225hp- can't remember?:cool:
