anyone know if there will be one in 2004?
And, if there was one this year, or last year, or since the one in 2000?

a jetski cut out in front of tunnelmike and of course we know who won that confrontation, he was known as "doo-killa" for awhile
then sitting on the side of the river, stopped, up in the tree's Mr.Fun gets hit by a ski boat who wasnt watching what he was doing
cops everywhere just iching to bust that ass
i wont be going back ;)

seems all the locals from that area go there, supposed to be a MAJOR party spot, motel rooms, marina, etc. north of the glen on the NW corner of lake george. Georgetown on a map. like Skip said, i kinda got some reservations about the whole deal but maby something new may resurrect my interest. fun out.

The Glen use to be the best boat party place in the state, but now on every holiday it is cop fest.No drinking,no scantly clad girls no music, plenty of jet skies, mothers and kids. And did I mention cops.If there is a place on the St.Johns,I haven't heard of it.What a shame Mike T.

If fun will. I don't care to take out another sea-doo even though it did no damage to my ride. Fun gettin run over scared the **** out of me and I watched the whole thing coming at me. I believe in the law of averages and the 2 of us should be safe for a while.
Parker I'll be ready to go to the den next summer !!

We'll be going to the Glenn on at least some of the Holidays next year. We also are going to spend more time in the far south St. Johns [down around Richard's backyard [way2fast] in Melbourne. We also had a lot of fun this year exploring the upper Suwannee [until I blew the little Turbo motor on my Honda] at Luraville and had to be towed back to Branford [I didn't bring my boat].

Well....on that note...where are some of the lesser known party spots during the summer? Anyone willing to share?
The only places I've been are on the Suwanee. But now that I have my own boat, I'd like to explore somemore.

The best exploring around [if you are careful and the water is up] is south of Lake Monroe, Peace river, St. Mary's river, Amelia sound [jet skis]. The ICW going south of St. Augustine is good if you are careful.

nothing even comes close, 4-5 hundred boats on about a 1/4 mile sand bar of every description. i've never been in the winter but seen plenty of pics, in the summer it's brutally hot though. the glen is refreshing, cool water, no salt. i want to do a winter trip to the keys, some property owners there don't even go there in the summer. i've herd the spring on the swannaee is a party spot. fun out.

I went both Holidays this year and will be there next year too.It is not off the chain like it use to be but if you premix and use your head it's still ok.I saw plenty t@a and had a good time drinking. If you want to drink beer in the open they have a pretty good fleet of boats starting to gather outside the enterance to the spring.Common sense prevails.A ride up to Porkys would be cool too.We stay cool at the Glen and get tore up the house.

racemore,Where is fort george from the glenn?I have never heard of it.I like it at the st.johns, and would like to have another place to hang out.In my opinion, the glenn has been screwed-up ever since the no alcohol in the boat law was put in effect. That use to be one of the best boating places in Florida. Mike it's up here in Jacksonville. It is off the Intracoastal Waterway just north off the St.Johns River inlet. You can come in from the ocean at high water but the bar moves a little so at low water you have to look to see the deep water.Small boats don't really have a problem. Most everybody come in though the ICW to the Fort George river. There are alot of sandbars to hang out on and the east shore is deep to the bank where most of the big boats hang.In between the inlets is Huegonaut state park and you can drive on the beach. It will load up with 20,000 people on the major holidays.
