If I remember right my merc dealer at the time Roger "Tiger" Hanson told me that BP stood for Blue Print.
Is this what merc did to the 1st BP was just blue print it? What kind of horse;power did the 1000 BP have?
I can recall the nights we spent trying to get his switzer craft up to 60 mph with a stock 135 merc and a michigan opc prop, uh props. Last I knew (1969) it got to 59 mph by speedometer.
No gps in those days. dave.

PS he also had a completly polished like chrome mk 75 H in his shop at the time. Anybody ever see it as it is no longer in the store.

There were some press releases that claimed 155 with stacks and 140 without stacks for the BP's.

Sounds about right considering the 116.2 hp claim for the 89ci Evinrude X-115

Olegator is correct, I misread the question. I've never heard quotes on the 100 either. Hopefully Mike can find the answer.
