****ty back in the days or something. Everything you see from that era is the worst color brown. Put some shag in it and let it flow in the wind.

it looks like it might be a pretty cool back up boat

Speed: maybe 40's.
Looks like a Panther i/o to me. I drove one this spring before it went to a marina on a trade in. Same colors too. Had a 305 in it though. Looks like yours has an inline 4cyl. with that little 3.0l engine around 40mph seems right.

Would be an appropriate name, Jesus the 70's were a hideous time for colors. Browns, greens and oranges, what the hell were people thinking back then?

hey guys. im the one that abandoned it in pack's yard :D. as far as i know its an "ABC Amarican" atleast thats what one of the little plastic badges said on the side just before it fell off. dont know any more than that. i picked it up for a grand an its in great shape. dought it has more than a few hundred hours on it. it has a merc 140 I/O in it and everything seems to be original (cept for those crappy seats) and in good working order. most have confirmed what i thought or speed estimates of 40's. thinking this will make a good spare boat for when i blow stuff up on my scorpion. :D
anybody have any idea what this is worth. i know prolly not much but i'm just curious. also does Whipple make a blower for the 140 :D :D :D
hey pack . . . .can you store this one too :p
about the brown . . .thank god im a custom painter.

At a 100, I'm assumin' you meant pass the bong. Michael Jackson's already got rights on pass the bone.
Ronnie, yo' boat's so cool we'd still like it if it was pink with purple stripes.

I'm pretty sure that's a Sidewinder. The navigation lights are a dead giveaway. Pretty well all the sidewinders had those.

Here's a link to some pics of a similar Sidewinder. It looks to be a newer model though.

Those colors are known as DVD colors. That is the Dick Van Dyke era. That boat is DVD for sure although it could use a little Burnt Orange in the seats.:D The boat looks like a pop of a National Boat which was a Tahiti. The difference is there is no scroll in the side like a Tahiti and Sidewinder.

Good lawd, did they ruin that po' Sidewinder in the link or what? I've always been a big fan, since the 18' Sidewinder was my first boat, but what's up with that fat thing over the engine? I hope that guy's in love with it, 'cause for 5600 it's likely to be with him.

American was a boat manufacturer. My friend had one with a Olds 455 and Berkeley jet. They look just like old Bajas or Sidewinders. Appllo had a hull like that too.

thanks for the info guys . . i have been in keywest for the past five days. raced "one design"
i was kinda thinkin it may be a sidewinder or baja splash. i can tell ya one thing though. i'll get my fun out of this thing for sure. got very little $$$ in it and it will make a great recon boat for when mine or packs breaks down . . . . course my boat never breaks down :D :D :D
vicious - how are things in algonac. i have not been up there in a long time . . . . geeze, prolly since that last time i said i would stop by (one of these days im sure  ). any chance your cousin wants to part with that 27 sport yet  . i found a 28 maltese with some nice hardware but i really like the 27 deck much better. thanks
