This is an S class factory boat driven by Don Clark who recently passed away. He lost his leg after the Paris 6 hour. You are reading to much into the photo. It is the BP style DSH with a Speedmaster unit. Ride Guide was standard on team boats at this time, 1970. The photo of Hering previous will also show this. Also notice the style of the race number. All the Merc team boats used this style. Future posts will also show this.
