I have a 2000 Johnson 250HP in need of pistons. Any recommendations?

Have you gotten it pulled down yet? The piston that came apart, was it because the ring locator pin came out. You can tell by looking to see if theres a groove in the cylinder wall where the locator pins are. If that caused the problem, then you need to replace all six. Rickracer usually will give you a pretty good price on them. Pro or Wisco's. Wisco's are a forged piston and grow more when hot so you have to run at least .002" more clearance and spend more time breaking the motor in. Forged pistons are not needed unless you plan to modify the motor for more rpm.

Thanks for the piston information.Haven't gotten it pulled down yet ...Took the heads off ..... The port middle cylinder piston was torched and a small piece of the upper ring broke did a tap dance on the cylinder head and found its' way to the top cylinder and worked on the piston top and cylinder head too. The remaining pistons seem to have a lot of clearance. I can only guess how many hours this puppy has. Mike
