I have a 90-HST with a 275-300 rude and a 80-Banshee with a piece of crap Chrysler on it . HST top speed don't know yet, so far 90 and stopped. The Banshee is good for about 45mph. that sucks. I liked it when people start to put saying they have this many boat's. I would like 1-more and after showing my wife how many boat's you have, It doesn't look so bad at having 3 boat's.THANK'S KIM HANSON

Or am I the only one foolish enough to do so. Its murder in rough water. I usually run on a small lake that our cottage on. The hull I run has been popular as a ski boat in Canada for many years. Most are set up with only skiing in mind. I know flat bottoms are usually assocciated with inboards and V-drives. I wonder if ther are any other companies that offer or have offered flat bottom hulls in recent years. Years ago most hulls were flat bottom but over the years the V and air entrapment hulls have been developed and are superior to the over grown sea-flea I drive. I still love the hole shot and the low soft wake for skiing.:D
Kim , I'm sure our wives would have lots to talk about.

Flat Out,
I have a flat bottom outboard in addition to the Vector. The TigerShark I was talking about in a previous post on what we have for boats is a flat bottom 16' pointed nose center finned ski boat.
picture any Howard, Hondo, Etc V drive hull with an outboard hanging on the back and thats what my 'Shark looks like. It has a 15" transom and 4 wrap around bucket seats. There is no false floor. Just end grain balsa and a stringer about 4" wide and 2" high down the center. Rated capacity was 225 HP back in 1972; the year I have literature on. Two 110 merc towers side by side.
Mine has a 1978 1400 merc with a 850XS lower unit and power trim. It is not overly fast because the hull runs so wet compared to a similar size "Stream. Handling is far superior however. I feel very safe cranking the wheel as hard as I can at any speed. Always wanted to put a V6 on it but was afraid that a 20" motor would make it top heavy. I didn't realize there were people who made short shafts out of them. You are right it is a great ski boat; I will never part with mine.

The ones I have are Michigan AJC 410,411,417. You just have to hunt around for one, sometimes you can buy an old motor with one cheap enough.Try AOMCI.com Antique Outboard Club. OMC has a 3 blade Stainless that is probably a better prop but I like the old 2 bladers. I collect old motors mostly 50s & 60s OMCs 10,15,18,20,25 hp, have a 20 Merc.Good luck hunting one down. Be prepared to have it rebuilt and possibly rehubbed after years of abuse. They polish up real nice.
