I need to upgrade to a dual rotary helm (currently have single and it's starting to worry me). There is not enough room for a rack system. I also do NOT want a No-Feedback system. I can find listings for Teleflex, U-flex and Morse dual rotary helms. Any recommendations or experiences with these or any other simular systems. Also, where is a good place to purchase helms, cables, etc online or mail order? Ijust recently stumbled across this site and I love it. Keep up the good work!

Thanx,
Luke

You should be able to buy Teleflex or Morse from any good marina or boat builder in your area. I have catalogues that list both systems but I left them at the cottage. I'll bring then home this weekend. Both companies make good quality systems and are major suppliers to most of the boat builders in the States and Canada. Make sure you order all the parts you need and measure for your cables carefully. You may want longer cables if you plan to add a jack or setback later on. You will need a dual adaptor kit at the motor as well this may be an OMC or Merc part depending on your motor.:D

Look at http://www.overtons.com/ under steering.
I’m not sure if they have duel systems, you might call them. They are pretty cheep.

Check with Bob Garone at Marine 2000 in NY - 631-242-9793, [email protected]. He has a real good used dual rotary with cables. Came from a 21' Superboat"

Luke,

Do you know what brand your single cable setup is? If it is Mercury Ride Guide you may be able to add a second rotary rack and cable to your existing stuff.

I can get you pretty much whatever you want, and usually at the very best prices. Morse was recently bought out by Teleflex, and soon all the Morse stuff still being sold will have Teleflex part numbers. I can also get you the Rideguide helm and dual kit, as well as the cables, should you decide to go that way.
