Did OMC Ever build Chain saws?

Not that I remember ever hearin' about, but I think they built some washin' machines.:D

I'm not to sure if they did , I've seen a omc gas powered water pump. Go on this site and check with some of the guys on it , They know alot about old saws . There are some colectors that hang on there , It's where I find alot of my saw parts. http://www.ArboristSite.com/

Poulans Chain Saws was own by OMC Along with Lawnboy. They had the service school in Waukegan at the Johnson Plant when I was in school there in 1975. They even had dynos to test run them. I should dig up the pictures I took in side the school.

So some of the older poulans were omc built? Did they build any under the Lawnboy name?

We used to sell them at
a dealer I worked for in 1976. We only sold them because they were made by OMC. I think they got a deal on them along with the Lawnboy mowers we sold too.

OMC made the Pioneer chain saw.OMC sold Lawn-Boy to Toro back in the late 80's I think.They also made Cushman Trucksters and Tracksters
