the fairing is all white...... looks to be in like new condition...... he wants $100.00...... and I'm sure it's worth every cent. I've heard it adds mph on your boat.....so it will be the cheapest speed gain you will ever see. If get the chance I will post ya a picture. Otherwise, I will have it for you Sunday. As for getting tender......not to worry, I don't think anyone is. This whole weekend thing started off over a cold beer on a rough day on L/T...... and sure has come a long way in a very short week and a half. :cool:

70's to low 80's...... low humidity......light winds...... sounds like perfect horsepower conditions...... traffic on lakes ( never that busy ) should be even lighter due to Christmas shoppin time.... it doesn't get much better than this:)

In the two years I have been driving by Lake Minneola.... I don't think I have ever seen more than 8 boats on this lake at any time!

The ramp is damn near downtown..... I think the 50 exit on the turnpike is mm250......not sure tho... but I make the trip to Miami from my house in 4hrs and WPB is an hour and a half from where I go down there ( South Miami )..... unless your drivin at 55..... then it might be 4 hours. Clermont is only 5 miles west of the turnpike.....I think the ramp address is 1230 W Minneola Ave, Clermont.

I was just kiddin.....and want to take the time to personally thank each of you for making the effort to participate. This actually went a lot farther than I ever thought it would as I was just tryin to find a decent place close to home to work on my setup. I fully realize the amount of effort each and every one of us puts into our boats. Making a Johnson, Evinrude, Merc or whatever you run perform in the conditions we operate under takes a lot of time and energy from each of us...... and for that...... this weekend is what we do it for. So my parting comment...... before the day tommorrow..... is be safe......don't break.....don't push yourself beyond your limits........and most of all.....have fun!

Jay..... the only mods on the Skittles is reeds and flywheel. Runs 115 lbs of compression..... no tuner..... standard XRI style injection..... 24 degrees of timing..... everything else is window dressings..... more importantly.... it is set up well. The boat just rocks with that thing..... we keep loadin it up with props.....it just eats em. He gave Action 17 a few good runs today..... first 3 Action just had too much...... last one was really close..... then again aside from Action 17...his Dad and brother.....we didn't see much of the other OMC's....... except parked on the beach:eek:

There were 10 -15 boats at the Tiki bar makin passes till almost dark.....Lamar should have some pics in a day or so... I'll post mine tommorrow at work..... I'm dial up at home..... Cya!

Even though we didnt race for the biggest dicky award it was still an awsome time.As far as the omc merc thing.All the smack I ran was for fun and hipe.I know full well that there are some fast omc's that will smoke my ass,well maybe not smoke but are a tad faster than me.I said before we all left that I wasnt going to change my computer from the consumer =7750 to my race box=9400.Because of my warranty issue.I tried my 24 yammy at the ramp just to see how it would run with the consumer box and I hit the limiter at about 500 ft.I aint whoopin no ass with that so I then put on my big wheel to play.For the record just as I told Frostman on the phone yesterday,I wasnt runin from yall there was a huge misunderstanding on where we were all going.When the group of about 15 boats that i was in got to Pat's lake they all went down that canal that went to Lake Louisa.I had never been there and did not know where to go or where everyone was at so I just followed the group.We ended up going through the longest no wake zone that i've ever been in.The spot we all stoped at was real cool with a nice sandy beech.Someone was talking to the guy's at Pats house and said yall were coming over to the sandy beech where we were at.We waited and only a couple of boats came over.We then headed back to Pat's house and the beech in front of his place was full of boats with no place to park and the lake was all chopped up from boat traffick.I wouldnt have raced in those conditions anyway.We all decided to go find a restaraunt to get some lunch and cocktails.That tiki bar at lake Mineola was real cool.We had lunch and then raced eachother till it was completely dark out side.Maybe next time omc guy's maybe next time.I just wanted to say that I had a great time Mike A.K.A Itsnomagic and thanx for calling this rally together.Now that I now the chain I will be there for the raceing next time,:) ....PS...Frostman,you will get your shot at me soon:eek:

Last thoughts on this past weekend on this post for me......:D

First of all...... the place is a killer place for a weekend rally ( where's the thumbs up smiley when ya need one ) IMO it is a great alternative to the Suwannee.....not just because I live here, but because it is centrally located for anyone from east to west coast. Definitely, with a little more notice and planning it would have been a 100+ boat turnout..... I can't imagine the amount of smack posts that would have been flyin...Rob... ur gonna be a freakin:eek: freakin guru if we do this again.....Second..... we found fantastic areas of each lake where you could run with lots of room..... Greg T.... we have some killer video of multiple boat runs.....looks like a frikken dogfight with roosters going every direction..... ya gotta see it on the big screen....Toyo .... you got some good stuff there...... The Tiki bar was fun..... but I talked to them and they said better service ( which considering what we layed on them at one time wasn't bad ) could be had with just a little advance notice.... I think we overwhelmed them, but the place could probably be ours to hang at if we started there a little earlier.

Aside from the friggin long idle from Pat's Lake to Lake Louisa:( and a few floating small hyacynth islands in Louisa..... you can plain just keep feedin it and stretch it for as long as you would want:p Three different ramps to choose from...... run all day ( except for RSTY:eek: ) on a tank of gas.....

I had a blast..... met some terrific people..... saw some kick ass boats....watched the boys duke it out run after run after run....
and the only thing that really;) twisted my jaw:eek: was the disappointment in not havin Ray Leach there:( so I could blow him off the water.... :eek: :D
