There have been some other threads concerning the current status of Mirage, but it seems to be commonly believed that Mullins owns the molds and contracts with one or more boat builders to build the boats rather than doing it in house himself. There have been varying opinions posted concerning the present production.

is a '99 model Mullins built boat. I have no complaints with mine the quality and workmanship is that of any other LIGHT drag hull. As for Mike Mullins, all I can tell you is I could not reach him on the phone and he did not return my phone calls. This resulted in me buying a used 1/4 Master instead of buying new.
