head gaskets

does anyone know mercurys part # for 2.5 head gaskets looking for different thickness gaskets I need one thicker to lower compression currrently .050 w145pds want to be closer to 135pds

I dont have the part numbers but i can tell you that Pro Marine gaskets cost less and are available in 1.25mm, 1.0mm and .75mm. Rickracer and others can get them to you. I run 32 cc heads with the .75 for 150 psi compression. The 1.0mm brings it to 145 and the 1.25 brings it down to 140. 1.0mm = .040 so 1.25mm (thick gasket) is .050. I dont think you can get them any thicker. 145psi is fine on pump gas. I run 91 octane with 150 but there is no margin for error if I should get a load of bad gas.

I am guessing your heads are 30-31 cc?
