Twin 10 gallon Stainless Tanks, 20 gallons total
Morse Dual Cable Steering
3 Props 24, 26, 28 Merc Small Ear Choppers

I bought the boat in Arizona, so the transom and stingers were perfectly dry. I have since taken the boat completely apart, replaced all the fuel lines, pump and filters, and rebuilt the carbs. Added carpeting, powder coated the setback bracket, elbows crossbars, gas pedal, etc (Blue).

Max speed on gps was 96.8 at 8000 rpm with 26 chopper. Still have about 2" throttle left (serious sponson walk at top end). Still working on setup. Hoping to go over 100 this year with the 28.

HI Propster I have a 21 daytona with a 97 2.5 offshore. Its a heaver boat but my setup Includes SVS [really helped], 18 inches total setback,26 chopper 11, Land and sea jack. It runs 94.6 mph with 3 people aboard on gps. I dont know if this will help with your 19 footer but I have been working on this setup for 5 years. 18 inches of setback is probably too much for your rig although every time I moved mine back it helped. Propshaft is 1/4 in above center pad. Can go higher. Also mine has no sponson walk at all. Great to see someone else on this board with an Eliminator tunnel. rick

Hi Rick, Propster

I also have a 21 daytona w/ 2.4 carb and some mods. Presently turning a 28 chopper. I have been told that I will see better performance with a 26 like you are running. What do you think. Boat is running @ 85 @ 6800.

Hi Dyounge Hope you don't! Die young that is. There is life after 50. I think 85 with a 2.4 is very good on your 21'daytona tunnel. That is about the speed I was getting with my 2.4 bridgeport. I ran a 26 re3 mazco at 7000 rpm but it threw a blade so I am now running a blueprinted 26 chopper 2. Very little difference except the Merc chopper 2 is a lot less expensive. I now have a 97 2.5 svs offshore which makes its best power at about 7600 rpm, so I did not have to change props. I think you might like the 26 a lot for most boating, { acceleration, load carrying,}. Maybe the 28 will still be the fastest,[with light weight}, due to the fact that you're right in the powerband for the 2.4. I ran my 2.5 offshore with a 29 mazco but did not get speed reading, {felt fast on top} but was sluggish everywhere else. Good gas mileage for cruising. Lets stay in touch as we are a minority on this board. I like the 26 much better for the feeling of power and response. Still goes fast enough to scare most of my friends. Please tell me about your setup. I like to learn rick
