I have a 225 Merc ProMax on a 21' Checkmate equipped with Sea Star Pro hydraulic steering. Currently the steering hoses pass through a transom cut out hole along with the engine harness. The movement of the engine and the volume of cables coming through the single hole causes the hydraulic lines to bind and loosen at the steering cylinder.

I would like to clean this up by using two short hydraulic lines mounted to fittings in the transom well and have the existing lines mounted inside the well.

Does anyone know of a kit containing the fittings and hoses I need to do this?

I would appreciate any info.

Joe

Call Rickracer, I talked to him about the type of fittings that you want when I was there, and he said that he had a source.

Joe, Teleflex has a kit HF5512 which any marine dealer can order.

Does anyone have a picture of this setup with the Hydraulic lines through the hull with these fittings?

We did this setup for Billy Farr. I have not seen Hoser's setup, but it must be pretty nice, everyone that gets it just raves about it.
