2.5 Carb Alternator

The PBCC Roostertail hit my mailbox this week:)

There is an article about a 2.5 Carb rebuild.

What is the alternator output of a 2.5 Carb?

I know you can add a Simon motorsports alternator, but I don't think the budget will stretch far enough for a motor, new alternator, and new engine cover.

The boat is used mostly for water skiing so we need an alternator. Lots of idling, stopping, and starting.

...changing over to a 40 amp system should be just the ticket. You should be able to find a complete used setup to swap from someone who wants what you've got. :cool:
