Found this on Ebay. Would this be comparable to an STV Euroski? Anyone know anything about this brand of boat?

They are a line of true tunnel race/pleasure boats.I don't know about the small one but in 91 we raced an APBA offshore event in Miami Fl.The event was staged at Hooligans/Fort Apache on Thunder boat row.The fastest entry was a 46 Ocean Express with Tripple Hawk 1000's and #6 drives. This was a private owned boat and rapper Vanilla Ice flew in to drive it in the race.Though they were running in the beginner or club race they ran it in conjuntion with the Big boys club. The Ocean x smoked the field of pros running 120+ on the straights. Now the baddest of the bad weren't there but they might be glad they weren't.In 91 that was a damn fast speed.Don Johnsons Team USA only ran high 20's.The 30 ft range Oceans ran good to but not good enough. They are more for pleasure use although a light weight setup was competitive. There are no guarantees you will finish no matter what you have.I think we broke a gearcase.

Is piss poor. They crack along the splashwell. that's the reason the diamond plate is on that one. get a hold of Vicious, There is a mashed one or two in his possesion.

It's cute, but I find the speed claims of 65 to 68 MPH extremely doubtful with a 3 cyl Yamaha. The small boat with the basic profile of a big cat like a Skater is gonna have a totally different personality from an STV Euro, and don't think it'd ever compare to one, reguardless of power. I think if you hung enough power on it to get the speed up it'd probably get pretty dangerous.

Looks like fun either way. My force spins a 19ss at about 5500 with 2:1 gears, don't know yami gears but that is only 40-45 in a 16' with mine. Still looks real cool:cool:

Spend your money on an STV! You'll be far ahead!

Isn't Sparky in the 90s with his 17'? How does the stv compare with the OS type tunnels in a little rougher water where I assume they could have an advantage?
Yeah, stv is sweet.;) Just be a while before I could have one. I think that would be the best hull to run the lakes here. How fast can you pull a good turn in an stv without gettting nuts, like if you had passengers?
