What is everyone's opionion?? I need to send a block out to get one hole sleeved and I've heard that there will be heat transfer problems. Is this true or just urban legend?

The best guy , in my opionion ,for steel sleeves is Dave Hensley in Tenn. There IS a difference in this process and I will bet once you use him you'll throw rocks at anyone else you been using !!!The heat thing is a minor issue if its done correct! 1 865 984-1845 hm or 1 865 977 2480Day
Quick turnaround too !!!!!!!!!!

I'll give them a call and check them out.. I want to do it right the first time. There is enuf people out there that have made mistakes and I'd rather learn from them. Than make my own..

Yes, there is a difference, those 2.4's are chrome? A plating cyl. will always tranfer heat quicker than a steel one. However, that is not always a big issue in all applications. A good thin steel sleeve works well also. I myself use Jim Ruck (920-233-3833) He's been doing them for 30yrs. He's gotten pretty good at it.....
