Adding Images

To add a graphic within your message, just encase the URL of the graphic image as shown in the following example (vB Code is in red).

YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THE * I HAD TO ADD IT TO MAKE IT NOT DISPLAY THE IMAGE

[img*]http://www.vbulletin.com/images/vblogo.gif[/img*]

In the example above, the vB Code automatically makes the graphic visible in your message. Note: the "http://" part of the URL is REQUIRED for the [img] code. Also note: some forums may disable the [img] tag support to prevent objectionable images from being viewed. In that case, you will have to include a hyperlink to the image.

I did just what you did. I added the [/img] to the end of your URL. Good job, I knew you would get it if someone did it for you first. Now I took it away again, cause one of you is enough. LOL !!!!!!

How do you post pic's or gifs from your own hard drive? Is it possible to do that on this message board or do they have to be on another website. I am able to do it on other posts though Outlook Express in a couple of newsgroups, but I am not sure if it can be done here. just wondering what all we can do, lol.

You can't.. You would have to uplaod the pictures first to a server. Like AOL or geocities. Or any of the 100's of other free FTP \ HTML servers out there.

Thanks for answering my question. I didnt think it could be done on here but one never knows till one asks. but linking to a server-web page to include pic is still a neat extra for the board and will increase the enjoyment for all of us.
