Jasper river run-details, please

Could someone let me know the details of the river run? Which day, what time, and where to meet. Sammy Corley and I (with wives) are bringing a boat this year and want to join the group.

It's a little over 50 miles one way with a fuel stop in Chattanooga. Rodney arranged for us to have 93 there at the dock.Absolutley beautiful trip. I think we left around 2 p,m, last year. Water was smooooooooooooooth!:eek: :cool:

The river run will be Friday October 10. We leave from the Shellmound ramp. Shellmound is on the same exit as the race site exit 158. Instead of going toward the race site at the exit go the other way about 1 & 1/2 miles. Look for boat launch sign on left. Chattanooga is rebuilding the riverfront and one of the marinas is closed. We may have to do something else for gas. After everything is sorted out I will post all the details. Sounds like we are going to have a good turnout this year.

What kinda speeds? All my fast stuff has to have race gas and I was thinkin' about bringin' somethin' slow and ridin' along this year.

Raceman hope you can make it. Last year we all left at the same time and got spread out a little somewhere between 40 & 60 mph. We stopped in the middle of the canyon and floated while the B.S. flowed. Then we went on up stream to Chattanooga. Some of the guy's let it rip on that part of the river. Me and Rex held back so not to embarass them to bad. LOL! Played around the riverfront in Chattanooga and refuled. Headed back down river pretty fast but the speed you want to run is up to you. I don't think we really need to run in a tight pack. From what I am hearing it sounds like the number of boats is going to be quite a few more than last year. Everybody can do their own thing but we will try to meet in the Canyon going up and back down. And of course in Chattanooga.

The boys from SC were sorry we didn't bring boats last year. That is some beautiful country and we are really looking forward to this ride.
