EFI Reeds

I have a set of 265E Boyesen reeds, They are to fit EFI 2.4-2.5 Merc Engines. What is different about the reeds in an EFI engine as opposed to a carbed one?? Will these reeds work in my carbed engine??

Yes they will work in your motor.
The difference is the thickness which is very little!

Is it for durability, or is there a performance reason for making EFI reeds thicker. Would my motor even notice the difference??
