I am going to fathom a guess here, but Ill say judging from the cowl and decals that is a 1978 ? or damn close anyway

my buddy bought the first 200 that omc made available in 1976 and it had the same color scheme as that one but it had an evil kenevil type paint scheme lol but it was a runner , he ran it til 1993 lol

In 1976 the Evinrudes had the gold paint job. They where gold up till 1978

Did that lower come stock on that motor? Factory cone?

Give me a model # and I can look it up for you. Bruce, I maybe wrong, but I don't think any cones were availible on the fishing motor except the recent 225 HO, but I have known to have been wrong....well only once! LOL!;)

i realize that you guys know your stuff inside and out and in comparison im a dolt , but ive never seen a gold evinrude 200. the 1 i remember from 76, 77, was blue or a silverish blue simillar to the 1 in the pic , the gold ones were ( i thought ) around 73, etc.I may be wrong ...
