I am rebuilding my 2.4 bridgeport. I found what looks to be a piece of hose on each side of the middel cylender in the water jacket. can anybody tell why thats there?:confused:

it's to direct / restrict water flow around the cylinders. If I've listened correctly, it's to hold the water around the cylinders a little longer to pull some heat.
