What does this have to do with outboard racing?

I saw one once that I liked better ... it was an Italian DOHC motor, maybe a V-12 or maybe a Cosworth V-8, with the upper area milled flat - right thru the heads and intake, but again I'll lodge a compaint

It is a cool post, but belongs in the "Lounge" forum; not here.

George, I suggest you use your authority over this thread and remove it and restart it in the Lounge. You will actually get more hits and comments on it there.

Does your living room smell like 10W-30?

Sam:

That's fine, but if that is important to you, might I suggest you look over some of the past posts here in this forum. There is plenty there that has absolutely no bearing on the subject at hand, and I do not wish to cite examples, but if it bothers you I will not taint this forum any longer and will use the lounge. Perhaps the guys there have a sense of humor?

Looks like a 215 Olds block to me, and Sam should not be such a PAIN IN THE donkey.

Hi Guys:

Thanks for the support, but I think that I will move on, getting too stuffy in here. I thought this was supposed to be a fun thing, guess I was wrong, sorry.

Hey, is that laughter and good times I hear goin' on in that other room? Can it be ???? Naw, not on this board....... But wait now...... To hell with it, I am goin' there to check it out! Don't wait up....

In the immortal words of the Divine Miss M, Bette Midler:

"F**k 'em if they can't take a joke!!!!!! "

It's been a slice boys. You will find me where the happy people and good times are. I won't let the door hit me on the ass on the way out. Later.

Sorry guys, I do not piss off easy, but I goddamn am now. This, Sir, is too much.

There are other forums, and I will not stay where I am not welcome. I will miss this forum, you are all a great bunch of guys, very savvy and I feel honored to have been here. Thank you, gentlemen.

And I ain't hardly bull****tin'. Sorry Greg.

George, I'd hate to see you leave us over something like this. While I've complained sometimes myself over cross posting, I'd hate for you to quit us over this issue. On some of the car boards I've frequented, it's come down to heavy handed moderators that seem to feed on moving posts that are barely off topic which is frustrating. I've never wanted to see it happen here and the more members and traffic we get, the more likely it becomes. I have posted stuff myself in the past that was probably in the wrong forum, and sometimes still add onto other people's, but try to do better myself, just for the sake of organization. I hope you'll reconsider and hang around. We ain't always gonna agree on everything, but it's a pretty good bunch around here.

Raceman:

Thank you, but I gotta cool down some. I am very easy going, those who know me have told me, perhaps too much so, but I have a hair trigger temper. I will get a nights sleep and consider everything, and calm the hell down.

Sorry to blow like that....... and thanks for taking the time to write.

George :)

Reconsider. It ain't worth leaving over one guy bitch'in about what forum it's under. Hell I do that wrong all the time. BTW, the table's cooooooollllllll .

Thanks Guys, you are the best. You can tell who your friends are when it hits the fan, and they stick around to help clean it up!

Cheers! :) :) :)

I can post on the proper forum and still catch a bunch of ****, then I have to pull out manuals and old magazines to show something that I have been accused of not knowing what I was talking about. The only reason that I still post, or read, is to police the ones that like to police me.

Quickie, all I can say is, thank God for all the old manuals and magazines. I can't put years with half of this old stuff anymore without lookin' it up.

What's your alternative Offshore Only? I think you're much better off OT posting here than trying to find pals on OSO.

Hey George,

Please don't leave over something like this. Like Raceman said, I am a member on some truck forums and the posts are moved and sometimes locked out if you get carried away. I like what we have here, sometimes stuff is off topic-sometimes it is annoying, but as the site grows these things will happen.

Thanks for the Table pic it is very cool. I have a buddy with an autographed Nascar tire with a sheet of glass on it for a coffee table. It is just as cool, except, the autograph is Jeff Gordon's.

Later,
Jason

Why bash OSO?...... They haven't done anything in regards to this post....or anything else on S&F that I can find. There are good people on both boards.

I've heard that US1 has trouble hiding spare parts.. That would be a good way to disquise the spare parts so the wife won't complain about clutter.. Problem is I showed my wife the pic and I think she would catch on if I try that..
