hey guys..

theres a guy around me with a 13ft FUN CAT hes got a 50hp merc (shot) and says it went 55mph (im guessing speedo). i was wondering if this is a copy of the scat cat or what? i would hang my 3cyl 70hp on it if i bought it but i need some advice here..

the boat has been half sunk (there was no interier when it went down) for about 1 1/2 months now.. the guy says he wants $1500 for it:eek: :eek: now theres no way in hell im paying $1500 for a boat thats been half sunk for that long. any idea on what i should offer him..? or what to look for, like things that were prone to go bad, rot, break etc.

Tell the dude to leave it sit in the water. Once water has comprimised the top side and gotten down in the foam and transom, it's pretty much lost. I'd run away from this one. Even a boat this small can cause a huge disaster if it decides to come apart at speed.:eek:

offer to take it off his hands for 100.00 tell him 1500.00 could be about 1400.00 to much , a total rebuilt can you say baja scott over and over. besides my ole viper still wants some of that old fishing mtr of yours...

HAHAHAHA well im not scared of re-building a boat... i did that with my vixen.... and next time you see me i dont think it will just be an ol' fishin motor :)

no pics.. the bow is sticking up.. the rest is under.. the guy said hes gonna pull the boat out (flip it over) this weekend and i can come by and take a look. im not paying more then $100 lol

transom repair is no big deal.. but if i compleatly rebuild a boat its gonna be at least 17ft :)

i looked at the boat (upside down not much to see) and gave his son my #.. then he called me later and said $1500 .. so im like this is even with the boat flipped upside down and half sunk? "yup" HAHAH man i hope he lets is go ALOT cheaper then hes asking...but then again he maybe just thinks im a dumb kid :)
