That is way cool...... How fast to you have to be going to lift your boat like that? And how much control do you have to have NOT to flip the thing over?

Hi Kathy, and welcome to the S+F board. Alot would have to do with the size of the wave coming at you. That would determine just how fast you want to hit it. Speed plays the part of how much height you will get by hitting the wave. It is a very fine line balancing act which really you only get accustomed to by alot of time in the boat. You get a feel for what you can do and can't do. You become to learn the limitations each time you take it out. As far as control, once the prop leaves the water there is none. If the boat does begin to fall to the port or starboard well you can correct that by turning in the proper direction and as soon as that prop hits the water you must give it full throttle to get the boat to straighten out. If you hit the wave too fast and get enough air to the point at which you now get the feeling you are going to land on your head, at that point you can only hope you have enough forward momentum when you re-enter the water to trip it right side up. Knock on wood.........I have not gotten my boat upside down.....

and thank you for your reply. I realize doing something like that takes lots of practice and maneuvaring and control of the boat. I am going to wait until the baja hits the water. I am sure Scott will be testing it first however if we all happen to meet at some point perhaps the next Rumble I would love to just try lifting it some. Just for the feel of it..... it has to be awesome!
