WHO IS GOING TO THE HARDY PARTY THIS YEAR ? I WENT LAST YEAR AND I HAD SUCH A BALL I HAD TO BUY A YEARLY CAMP SITE. THATS WRIGHT ONE TIME AND I WAS HOOKED , SEVENTEEN MILES OF RIVER , OVER A MILE WIDE AT THE BASE. AND ANYWHERES FROM 140FT. DEEP TO 20FT. DEEP, CLEAN NO DEBRE AND HERE IS THE BEST PART . CONSUMERS ENERGY OWNS BOTH SIDES OF THE RIVER. SO THERE IS NO HOUSES AT ALL . THERE IS FOUR TOO FIVE CAMP SITES AND ONE STORE ON THE RIVERAND THAT IS IT . ILL TRY TO PUT PICS ON AS SOON AS POSSABLE. HOPE TOO SEE EVERY ONE THERE.

Tell me where its at and my wife & I will try to go, we will be at Oscoda the labor day weekend and so will the michigan hot boat association, it should be a blast. But summer is ending soon and we are looking for other places to have a good time and meet board members.

As soon as I have a vehicle suited for long-distance towing, I'll be there. Maybe next year.
It would be a real "homecoming" for my boat, since it was sold new by a dealer in Newaygo! "DERK'S MARINE, We Sell Fun" is what the sticker says. A search on the 'net shows nothing, I suppose they're out of business now.
I miss out on the good gatherings because I don't have a truck. Don't have the money for one, won't for a while. Someday, guys, someday...

Where is this at, It looks like a couple bigger boats are there as well, could I bring my 33' or is the water not big enough????? Looks cool I am familiar with the area a little just from driving through on (I believe route 12). Let me know what city.

DKWESTERN BRING THE 33' , WATER IS PLEANT BIG ENOUGH. SORRY Y'ALL DIDNT EXPECT A REPLY THIS SOON:) . THE ADDRESS FOR SANDY BEACH IS 6929 30TH ST. WHITE CLOUD MI. 49349. CHECK MAP QUEST FOR DIRECTIONS . IF THEY ARE FULL THERE IS OXSBOW PARK AND BROWWER PARK. YOU MAY HAVE TO CALL INFORMATION IN WHITE CLOUD TO THE NUMBER TO THE OTHER PARKS. ASK ABOUT THE RULES AS WELL , I KNOW THAT DOGS ARE NOT ALOWED AT BROWWER PARK. SANDY BEACH DOES LET THEM IN TO THE CANP SITE , BUT ARE CAMP SITES GO REALY FAST. IF ANYONE DOES GET INTO SANDY BEACH COME ON OVER TO LOTS 97,98,99,100. WE ARE ALL SEASONSALS AND EVERY ONE IS WELCOME AROUND THE CAMP FIRE , OR TO USE THE GRILL. WE DONT BITE BUT WE DO NIBBLE :D .

Sept 5th 6th and 7th the Michigan hot boat association will be at Brower park for their hot boat meet, is this the same general area??

http://www.mecostacountyparks.com/Brower.htm gives directions and other info it says they don't reservations but they have 230 sites very nice park.WARNING PARTIERS BROWER IS A GERMAN PRISON CAMP AFTER 11:00PM. just thought i'de give a heads up. see ya there! but i'll be at sandy beach!

for those who don't camp theres hotels 10 miles north at big rapids, mi I did a quick check at expedia.com and for 2 adults holiday inn was $83 SUPER 8 WAS $63 AND BEST WESTERN WAS $59 - $70. I believe some of the mi hot boat club stay at the super 8.

It is only about 40min north of Grand Rapids, lots of hotels there on the north side of town also though farther away. Some little places on M37 in/near Newago too. M82(two lane) runs down the south side of it all from US131 across to Newago at M37(another two lane). I'll try to get there and check out all the nice rides.:)

Just set up a place to stay ( Holiday Inn) for 79.00 a night. Basically the Michigan hot boat club is staying there and I am a member so I did the same. Cant wait to see you guys.

Bring your Bayliner up here to sell:D :D I've had good offers on my little 16':confused: No kidding. I see no problem dumping it when get to that. You just been hanging with S&Fers...;) MY 85hp even pushed 45mph on the prop calc a few times:p lol:cool: :eek: Good laughs out of it too.

Howdy everybody!
I am looking for somebody with some extra space in their boat for that weekend. My boat is in Minnesota and I am here! It sucks because I would love to have my HST out here.
Anyway, I could even tow your boat for ya! My truck is ready to go! I have a few props I can bring with for anyone to try.

Hey anyone going to this event interested in a Race style life vest??? I have one that needs to be re-certified but is in very nice condition. I would say its a large but does fit me real tight and I am 5'10 and 190lbs, chest size around 42inches. I would say 175.00 to buy it, its a DEIST and really nice.

Here is the life vest manufacture web site picture its the part number 29100 with leg straps NOT cuffs. I believe I was told 400.00 plus for this new.

Hardy is a pretty busy place about in the middle of the woods. And if you really want some entertainment, you can go to one of the local river ramps and watch the intoxicated partyers pull the largest coolers made mounted onto huge innertube trains in/out of the river....:D

Hardy party is a fun fast weekend,hope too see more people and boats next year. Ken,Tom or anybody thats goes to the sand bar i'm looking for a good drag motor for my lightning.Just e-mail me or call 231 796 1988.or get a hold of Rob and he'll tell me.
